The world’s largestrailway snowmelterHere is the solution to the problem of clearing snow from largerailway yards and depotsThe SR 700 snow melting unit makes it possible to remove approximately700 m x 5m x 150mm of new snow every 30 minutes.The process involves turning the snow into water and pumping itinto a container wagon, the water is then transported to the designatedarea or drainage system for discharge, and this eliminatesthe problem of storing large amounts of snow.3 The main brush head and the suction shaftremove the snow from the centre of thetrack and transport it into the first wagon ofthe set.
