Pledge <strong>of</strong> Allegiance was led by DougAngelo and <strong>Rotary</strong> Moment was given by Susan Nowacki, who quoted the phrase:"The essence <strong>of</strong> good health begins with joyful living."Total guests beat visiting Rotarians, two to one.

This writer is not sure who actually provides the meals at Jim’s house. (EditorJim says "meals are one thing, but culinary experiences are quite another.Fortunately both Mary and Jim participate in creating the latter" -☺ )Announcements and such...Kris Lapore gave a very gracious ‘thank you’ to the club for allowing him to do thisyear’s Crab Feed.KrisPamPam Davis is asking for the <strong>Club</strong>’s help in obtaining five (5) more restaurants for ‘Dine-Out auction item. Rev Turner is by chance Reverend C<strong>of</strong>fee’snephew. Rev. Turner told a story <strong>of</strong> a comment made by Judge Elliot Daum who madenote <strong>of</strong> the fact that "those who go to church rarely come to see him."ChrisErikaA part <strong>of</strong> Reverend Turner’s presentation included speeches by two members <strong>of</strong> hiscongregation who were participating in a contest between teams from different (<strong>Santa</strong><strong>Rosa</strong>) high schools to see which team could raise the most for the food bank. Together they discussed theturmoil that has faced this country over the past 40 to 50 years and the lessons that wecan learn from its history. There has been little accomplished for the black man. There isstill prejudice and hatred with limited understanding. It was pointed out that BarackObama is "one guy who got one job."
