But after he had been teachingßrÈ Chaitanya MahÅprabhu for seven days,SÅrvabhauma had some doubt in his mind. Hethought, “What is the matter” I am such a greatscholar in VedÅnta and logic, and I am trying mybest with all my intelligence to put before Him theinner meaning of VedÅnta, but I draw no responsefrom Him. He is only quietly attending my discourseas if He is deaf and dumb. And I can’t saythat He does not understand me, for He has a sharpintellect. I am sure of this, but still He gives noappreciation, no response whatsoever. He raises noquestion and gives no indication whether Heunderstands or not—nothing of the kind. Then
