<strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> Interactive <strong>Professional</strong> <strong>Installer</strong> <strong>Training</strong>Course descriptionDay 1 – Level 1 – <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> Conext Grid Tie Inverters(8 hours – 8 NABCEP continuing education credits)This course is intended for current or prospective <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> Conext Grid Tie Inverter installers as wellas others who want to have a more thorough practical understanding of the Conext product line.Pre-requisite: Some prior knowledge of basic electrical circuits and concepts such as Ohms Law.Course content:This training is on the <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> Conext product line. The format of the training is a small workgroup witha focus on hands-on training with open dialogue. The course covers a brief overview of conventional and renewableenergy sources, an introduction to grid-tie energy transfer, an overview of <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> grid-tie products,and detailed discussion of the <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> Conext features, functions and benefits. Participants will alsoget to practice the physical installation of the <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> Conext product, training in system wiring andcommissioning of typical applications.Upon completion of the course, participants will have a working understanding of how the <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> Conextproduct is able to transfer power from renewable to conventional energy systems, an understanding of the functions,features and benefits of the <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> Conext product line and hands-on experience with the installation andcommissioning of the <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> Conext product.Course descriptionDay 2 – Level 1 – <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> <strong>Xantrex</strong> XW System for grid-interactivebattery based systems (8 hours – 8 NABCEP continuing education credits)This course is intended for current or prospective <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> <strong>Xantrex</strong> XW System installers or others whowant to have a more thorough practical understanding of the battery based <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> XW product line.Pre-requisite: Some prior knowledge of basic electrical circuits and concepts such as Ohms Law.Course content:The focus of this training is on the <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> <strong>Xantrex</strong> XW System, a battery based grid-interactive productline. Thecourse includes a brief introduction into conventional and renewable energy sources and storage systems, anintroduction to grid-interactive energy transfer, an overview of grid-interactive products, and a detailed discussion ofthe features, functions and benefits of the <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> battery based grid-interactive product line. <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> Interactive <strong>Professional</strong> <strong>Installer</strong> <strong>Training</strong>Course descriptionDay 3 – Level 2 – In-depth grid-interactive system design and case studies(8 hours – 8 NABCEP continuing education credits)Pre-requisite: This course is intended for current or new system installers who have already gonethrough the <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> <strong>Xantrex</strong> XW or <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> Conext Level 1 course.Course content:The focus of the training is on system components and in-depth case studies of typical grid-interactive applications.This training is conducted in a small workgroup with a focus on hands-on training with open dialogue. The coursecontent covers training on solar panels, generators, batteries and network communication components. In addition,the design and application of solar array installations, battery banks and generator back-up systems are alsocovered.
