3rd Party Scan Pack Provider alternativesThere is an alternative to installing EDI and purchasing the scan pack equipment necessary tocarry out the E-Commerce process, that is to deliver merchandise using a specialist 3 rd PartyLogistics Provider (3PL).These companies have operational scan pack equipment installed which meets the Myer E-Commerce standards and they are also capable of receiving EDI. This can be either directly onbehalf of the Supplier, or by having the EDI order transmitted to the Supplier forwardedelectronically.It is therefore possible to set up and deliver to the E-Commerce requirements without incurringcapital expenditure.
