Target Audience 

The ST4 DocuManager Configuration Training Course is intended for customers and business partners inter‐ 

ested in learning how to configure and program ST4 DocuManager. 

The training series ST4 DocuManager Configuration 

(architecture and STT, DTD and layout customiza‐ 

tion, as well as GUI and modeling customization) is 

right for you if you already have experience creating 

and editing XML documents (e.g. DTD creation, XSL 

transformation) and have attended a user training or 

know how to use ST4 DocuManager. 

With the optional day "XSL for SCHEMA ST4", you 

can gain or refresh your XSL knowledge.

Goals: 

The XSL for ST4 DocuManager course will refresh 

the basic principles of XML. You will be given an 

overview of the output format of SCHEMA ST4 Doc‐ 

uManager and will become familiar with the XSL 

processing model, as well as with the most impor‐ 

tant elements and features. You will also create a 

starter kit for the transformation of XML in HTML 

documents and expand this transformation to XML 

documents with XSLT and XPath. 

Goals: 

In the ST4 DocuManager Configuration Overview 

course, you will learn about the architecture of the 

ST4 DocuManager. After a first look at components 

and configuration possibilities, you will create your 

own 

development environment, and get to know STT and 

its differences to XSL. In addition, you will learn how 

to use the tools for configuring SCHEMA ST4 Docu‐ 

Manager.

Goals: 

This training unit will teach you the possibilities for 

configuring the DTD for ST4 DocuManager. You will 

add new elements to the DTD and expand editing 

tools and production formats of ST4 DocuManager 

so that the new elements of the DTD can be dis‐ 

played and further processed 

. You will learn how to configure the Layout Design‐ 

er to cater to modeling changes. In addition, you will 

create new configuration packages and scripts, and 

will learn how to include these in ST4. 

Goals: 

In the SCHEMA ST4 DocuManager Configuration ‐ 

Modelling and User Interface Configuration course 

you will learn in detail the possibilities for configur‐ 

ing the information model of SCHEMA ST4 Docu‐ 

Manager. You will add new classes to this model and 

configure the 

user interface, e.g. by 

creating new menu items and toolbars, displaying 

new meta data in the properties window, and add‐ 

ing Viewlets.

The course fee plus VAT will be billed after completion of the course. Cancellation (in writing) is possible free 

of charge up to four weeks before the start of the course. For cancellations up to two weeks prior to the start 

of the course 50% of the fee will be charged. For cancellations after this date the course will be charged in 

full. 

Registration deadline is two weeks prior to the course date. SCHEMA Consulting GmbH reserves the right to 

change the schedule or cancel the course in cases of emergency or insufficient participants.
