The goal of this program is to help develop the businessworkforce through economic and business training for secondary schoolstudents and teachers. The content areas are economics, work-readiness,financial literacy and entrepreneurship. The program objectives of JAA’sproject are to teach economics in 230 schools (teacher training textbookprovision, student training), hands-on entrepreneurship training and businessethics classes.AZN 2500 raised at 2008 AmCham Independence Day Picnic was donated tothe “UREK” Humanitarian Public Unit funding medical treatment of the childrenfrom low income familiesAZN 4000 raised at 2009 AmCham Independence Day Picnic was donatedto the Orphan Education Fund organized by the Azerbaijan-American AlumniAssociationAZN 6500 was donated to Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy to fund the purchaseof text books on economics and business for first year students of MasterProgram.48
