Since the time of the application Env-A 1400 has beenamended (the new rule was effective on Nov. 24, 2009). De minimus emission rates were increased under the new ruleand therefore had no effect on the compliance determination for those pollutants that previously showed compliance usingthis method. The adjusted in-stack concentration calculation method was updated. Previously the divisor in the calculationwas 400 (which is the number used in the application’s calculation). The new rule states that for facilities where the edgeof the building housing the device is less than 40 feet to the nearest compliance boundry, the divisor for the adjusted instackconcentration shall be 250. The following table shows the updated, adjusted in-stack concentrations for the threecompounds that exceed the de minimus emission rate.RTAP Adjusted In-Stack Concentration (µg/m 3 ) 24-hr AAL (µg/m 3 ) Annual AAL (µg/m 3 )m,p-Xylenes 77 1 1550 1001,3,5-Trimethylbenzene 82 2 619 4121,2,4-Trimethylbenzene 130 2 619 4121 Based on annual emissions divided by 8760 hr/yr.2 Based on daily emissions divided by 24 hr/day.
