The 2-stage protective circuit consists of a coarse protection by a GDT and a fine protection by selected high speedand high-current bipolar suppressor diodes, decoupled by an inductive resistance.There are no significant leakage currents due to the absence of varistors (MOV), making remote alarm contactfor fault indication and regular checks unnecessary.The SPD is able to discharge fast and reliablye dangerous lightning and surge currents to earth and to assurea fast equipotential bonding between all wires and earth within 2 ns.This protective circuit of high quality components works also as an high-effective low pass filter and eliminatesor reduces dangerous high frequency harmonics to a nonhazardous level. Harmonics are caused by lightningstrokes and other sources in the net, like frequency converters and similar.Application<strong>DataPro2x1</strong>-xxV/xxV-<strong>Tr</strong> has an excellent performance to protect reliablye signal and data(bus)lines againstlightning influences and transient surges. To protect safety and sensitive electronic circuits e.g in fire andintrusion alarm systems, factory process controls, access control and payment systems in parking houses, etc.Everywhere a high reliability and an uninterrupted system function are on first priority. To achieve a higher live,choose a voltage range of 1 or 2 steps higher (e.g. for 12 V bus line take the <strong>DataPro2x1</strong>-15V/15V/<strong>Tr</strong>) if voltageprotection level allows that. The best protection is assured, if the DataPro is installed as near as possible to thedevice to be protected.<strong>DataPro2x1</strong>-xxV/xxV-<strong>Tr</strong> can be installed on the boundaries 0 A - 2 or higher, acc. to the Lightning ProtectionZone (LPZ) concept in IEC 62305 part 1-4 (DIN VDE 0185-305-1-4).Protects People and Valuables
