joining Ketron, Dr. Staplin worked for three years at Lehigh University in Bethlehem,
Pennsylvania, as an assistant professor in Experimental Psychology. He is a member of
long standing of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society; and is a founding
member of the newly-formed (2002) Human Factors Resources advisory group to the
National Committee on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. Dr. Staplin also is a member of
the National Academy of Sciences' Transportation Research Board, and currently
serves as Chair of the Committee on Operator Education and Regulation (ANB30).
