USIHC – Quarterly Committee Report 2008Four issues were produced and mailed on time.Our editorial focus this year has been "the welfare of the horse"; we have also continued tostress "the versatility of the horse". We've had several new people join the committee and are now up to 16.The electronic Quarterly project was implemented and has been very successful.We're having problems with advertising. Once our new system was in place to guaranteethat we didn't print ads until they were paid for, the number of pages of advertising droppedway down. We could use the help of someone interested in marketing to increase the numberof ads we sell.We're developing a new protocol to collect Regional Club news more efficiently.We could use more input from committee chairs. Some contribute articles and news itemsregularly, some never contact the Quarterly.
