HAB had a very full stand and
unveiled a 100ft/33m platform height
telescopic boom lift, the T 35 J
D4WDL with four section octagonal
boom and articulating jib. Also seen
for the first time was its 99ft/30
metre, 1.25 metre wide, 600kg
capacity S320 -12 E4WDS electric,
narrow scissor. CTE has recently
been appointed as distributor for Italy,
but the company is also looking for a
dealer in the UK.

French-based ATN continues its
product diversification with the
launch of its first 4x4 scissor, the
15 metre working height, 700kg
capacity CX15.

tonne lattice crawler, five new

No new All Terrains on the Tadano
stand but following its purchase of
Mantis last year there was the 70
tonne telescopic boom Mantis GTC
700 EX crawler.

Unfortunately, the stand personnel
did not make it from China, but
these two cranes including 30
tonne Rough Terrain QRY30 did.

This was the first chance for many to
have a closer look at the Goldlift
14.70 Lithium tracked spider. The
company also launched the 17 metre
Goldlift 17.80XL with the IIIS
automatic levelling system which
works on slopes up to 11 degrees.
And automatic one button
outrigger stowage.
Kobelco
Kobelco’s plans for two handovers -
the latest variant of the 550 tonne
SL6000 to Dougie McGilvray of
Weldex and the CKE800 to Graham
Booth of BPH Equipment - were
scuppered by the ash clouds. However
the cranes looked impressive.

stand with demonstrations to
highlight the problems of
not using the right
equipment for a job using
a highly skilled acrobat
to reinforce the message
to the many stand
visitors.

IPAF stand
Italian truck and spider
lift manufacturer Oil&Steel launched
its new 27 metre working height
truck mounted lift mounted on a 3.5
tonne chassis. The Snake 2714
Compact is unusual in that
it mounts the platform onto a
connected third axle trailer and not
directly onto the truck chassis. By
mounting this way it can be driven
on B and E driving licenses and is
particularly suitable for the Dutch
and German markets.

Two large crawlers from Hitachi
Sumitomo, the compact and easy
to erect 200 tonne SCX2000A, and
the 550 tonne 6000SLX available
with superlift attachment
attracted a good deal of
attention.
