Raport4.5 THE USE OF INERT FROM RIVER BEDSThe Kosovo’s rivers are degraded mainly by uncontrolled use of inert from river bedsby the activities of operators that extract the gravel in and around the rivers. The mostdamaged rivers are those in the Drini i Bardhe river basin area. Including the River Drini iBardhe itself along the areas from Kramovik to Gjonaj. The River Erenik is also damaged,in particular along the area between Korenice and Ura e Tabakut (next to Gjakova 37 ).Among damaged rivers due to uncontrolled use of inert is the Lumbardhi i Pejes River.In all the above mentioned sectors the use of inert is inappropriate either in terms ofsaving water regime, either in terms of exploitation of mineral raw materials.
