<strong>Dear</strong> <strong>UAM</strong> <strong>Band</strong> <strong>Campers</strong>,<strong>We</strong> <strong>look</strong> <strong>forward</strong> <strong>to</strong> <strong>having</strong> <strong>you</strong> <strong>at</strong> <strong>camp</strong>. Here are a few things <strong>to</strong> help make <strong>you</strong>r weekmore pleasant. Please contact us <strong>at</strong> 870-460-1060 if <strong>you</strong> have any further questions.CHECK - INSunday check in is from 12:30 <strong>to</strong> 4:00 <strong>at</strong> the <strong>Band</strong> Hall in the Performing Visual Arts Building*(behind the books<strong>to</strong>re and across from Royer Hall).The following will take place <strong>at</strong> check in:*Pay any balance th<strong>at</strong> is owed on <strong>you</strong>r account.Because there will be a lot of people in a small place PLEASE DO NOT BRING BAGGAGE ORINSTRUMENTS TO CHECK IN! You may unload these items <strong>at</strong> <strong>you</strong>r dorm after afterwards.AUDITIONS: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.IMMEDIATELY after <strong>you</strong> check in, move <strong>you</strong>r things in<strong>to</strong> <strong>you</strong>r dorm room, then bring <strong>you</strong>r hornover <strong>to</strong> the <strong>Band</strong> Hall <strong>to</strong> try out for placement in a band. There will be signs posted when <strong>you</strong>arrive directing <strong>you</strong> as <strong>to</strong> wh<strong>at</strong> room <strong>you</strong> are <strong>to</strong> tr<strong>you</strong>t in. AFTER <strong>you</strong> complete <strong>you</strong>r audition (thisusually takes about 5 minutes) <strong>you</strong> may unpack in <strong>you</strong>r dorm room.DINNER:Since the <strong>camp</strong> has grown <strong>to</strong> be so large this year, we will have <strong>to</strong> run 2 shifts for dinner on thefirst evening of <strong>camp</strong>. Direc<strong>to</strong>rs will bus the students off <strong>camp</strong>us <strong>to</strong> have dinner <strong>at</strong> Mazzio’s ItalianE<strong>at</strong>ery in Monticello. <strong>Campers</strong> will be taken <strong>to</strong> dinner based on wh<strong>at</strong> dorm they are loc<strong>at</strong>ed in.Dinner shifts will be as follows:-Royer Hall- 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.-Horsfall Hall – 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.AUDITION RESULTS: 7:00 p.m.All <strong>camp</strong>ers will need <strong>to</strong> meet in the Fine Arts Center Audi<strong>to</strong>rium <strong>at</strong> 7:00 p.m. <strong>to</strong> find out whichband they will be particip<strong>at</strong>ing in during the rest of the week.CONCERT TIMES:Concerts will be on Friday June 24 th <strong>at</strong> the Fine Arts Center Audi<strong>to</strong>rium on the <strong>UAM</strong> <strong>camp</strong>us. Theconcerts begin <strong>at</strong> 12:30 p.m.The concerts will be video recorded by RBAA Films and may be bought for $25. A video yearbook of the <strong>camp</strong> will also be available for $30, including the concerts and interviews withstudents.CHECK OUT:All <strong>camp</strong>ers must be checked out of their dorm room PRIOR their concert.BAND CAMP T-SHIRTS<strong>Band</strong> <strong>camp</strong> shirts have been included with the price of the <strong>camp</strong>. Please inform us upon check inwith <strong>you</strong>r desired shirt size.
