Polybutylene is the most malleableplastic used in the manufacture of piping systems.Another key advantage of polybutylene pipe is that itis extremely lightweight, particularly when comparedwith copper piping systems. For example, 15mm coppertube will weigh approximately 0.28kg/m, compared tojust 0.074kg/m for polybutylene. This significant weightreduction is invaluable when transporting materials to site.Polybutylene pipe has good resistance to freezingtemperatures, maintaining long-term durability in heating<strong>and</strong> water applications. This, combined with the pipe’selasticity, means that if water is subjected to freezingtemperatures, a burst pipe is less likely.Our plumbing systems also give improved performanceover rigid pipe systems in terms of low noise transmission<strong>and</strong> low water hammer effect.Underfloor heating pipe systemsWe have supplemented our pipe offers with two rangesof underfloor specific pipe.
