Welcome to the <strong>User</strong>´s <strong>Guide</strong> for the Operator´s Console in theBusinessPhone 250 / BusinessPhone 50 system from <strong>Ericsson</strong>.It is a state-of-the-art business communications system. Its alliance of featuresand facilities effectively improves communications for virtually any kind oforganization.The Operator’s Console is specially designed to fulfil the needs ofoperators. USEFUL HINTSCONNECTIONSBETWEENEXTERNAL LINESWith your BusinessPhone PBX, you can establish an externalcall diversion or a conference with more than one externalparty or transfer an external call too another externaldestination (e.g. a mobile phone). These features are veryuseful for everyday business life.Note: When these features are used, your BusinessPhone willoccupy at least two external lines.However, there may be disadvantages in connecting toseveral external lines. We would therefore like to draw yourattention to the following:¥ Please do not transfer external calls to anexternal mailbox, to information systems orto external parties before they have answered¥ Try to avoid diverting calls to third partiesbefore they have answered¥ Cancel your calls by pressing the ÓClearÓ-keyIf the external parties are not persons (mailbox, automatedinformation or attendant systems, etc.), connections onexternal lines can last a long time, which can be costly.Moreover, such calls may occupy two of your system’sexternal lines.
