The Patient-Centered Medical Home and Total Quality Management Tuesday, July 24, 2012 – 2:00-5:00 pm No additional charge. The healthcare environment continues to change and evolve and with those changes come the advent of e-health and the development of the Patient-Centered Medical Home. Physicians need to have an understanding of the new PCMH regulations and how their impact will affect their practice and patient care. The afternoon session will focus on the health regulatory environment, e-health and disease management. Individuals with specific interest of starting a PCMH should return for the final session to review an actual working model and application to your practice. Kim Dunn, MD, PhD, Dr. Dunn is a general internist, serving as faculty at the School of Biomedical Informatics at University of Texas, Houston and is co-founder and CEO of Your Doctor Program (YDP), LLP, a practice management system that places the medical home at the cornerstone of care coordination and patient-centered outcomes management. Priscilla A. Goode, MAS, Ms. Goode has been involved in healthcare business and strategic development for over twenty years. As a consultant she has helped clients better understand healthcare reform and its impact on strategic planning and market segments. She currently serves as COO of YDP. Sandi Petersen, DNP, RN, FNP-BC, GNP-BC, Dr. Petersen is the Program Track Administrator for the Masters in Nursing Leadership Program at UTMB Galveston, and is involved in public policy relating to consumer advocacy and legislative issues concerning healthcare delivery. She is co-founder of Senior Risk Solutions, a national risk-consulting firm where she serves as Managing Partner.
