If you haven't given a pledge to a walker or purchased a cookie from a Relay bake sale, you can still help by taking part in activities in the Grosse Pointe Farms Pier Park on Saturday and/or Sunday. 6B IIPIPPPPPI!* PMPIPPPP I Bon Secours Cottage team dedicates 'Mr. Relay' to colleague A fun-loving friend and respected coworker will be remembered in the goodnatured spirit for which he was known when the Bon Secours Cottage Wings of Hope team sponsors the Mr. Relay contest at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at the Grosse Pointe Relay For Life. Ken Brunell, director of Diagnostic Imaging for Bon Secours Cottage Health Services (BSCHS), lost'his personal battle with cancer in April. In both 2003 and 2004, Ken was the BSCHS team entry in the St. Clair Shores Mr.' Relay contest. It's a wacky event that includes one male member from each Relay team who dresses up in his best k*dylike getup and races around the park for 15 minutes, collecting as many donations as possible. The contestant who gathers the most money is crowned "Mr. Relay" with the appropriate pomp, pageantry, and prizes. "The Mr. Relay contest is always a good laugh," said BSCHS Wings of Hope team member Danna Alexander, radiation therapist at the Edith McNaughton Ford Center for Radiation Oncology at Cottage Hospital. "But some of us will have a tear in our eye as we remember a good person who is no longer with us.
