Academic Center www.uhv.edu/acThe Academic Center is a warm and friendly place that offers support in writing, mathand other subjects you’ll need to have a successful college career. Tutors are studentswho have successfully completed the courses they’re tutoring and have receivedextensive training in the art and practice of tutoring. They provide their assistance bothface to face and online via e-mail.The Academic Center also is the university’s testing center and proctors make-upexams in case you miss regularly scheduled tests in your classes. They organize andproctor the state certification exams for teachers, as well as the Quick THEA, LSAT andGraduate Record Exam (GRE) Subject test, among others.Career Services and Student Employment www.uhv.edu/careerservicesThe Office of Career Services offers help with career exploration, career planning, andjob searching on and off campus . It also offers career fairs and other special events.Counseling CenterCollege and young adult life can present many challenges, some of which requireintervention and support from a trained professional.
