Matching Gift Companies
Companies that match their employees’ gifts to CMMC continue to
deserve our gratitude. Matching gift policies differ from one company to
the next; some match gifts from re t i rees; some may match a gift from an
e m p l o y e e ’s spouse. You can get information about your company’s
matching gift policy from their human re s o u rces department. Simply mail
your employer’s completed form with your contribution to the CMH
Development Office, it’s as simple as that. We will acknowledge your gift
and return the form to your company for the match. Some firms may
even double or triple your gift. For more information on firms that have a
matching gift pro g ram, please write the CMH Development Office at P. O.
Box 98, Lewiston, Maine 04243-0098, or call (207) 795-2950.
CMMC Fall Golf Classic
The Seventh Annual CMMC Fall Golf Classic was once again held at the
historic Poland Spring Country Club in Poland Spring on September 15,
1999. A full compliment of players enjoyed a competitive game of golf
on a picturesque course. CMMC Associate volunteers provided warm
hospitality and fellowship throughout the day. The tournament is org anized
and run by the Associates Golf Tournament Committee. The continuing
support and enthusiasm of tournament participants, sponsors
and volunteers is truly appreciated. Over $40,000 was raised to benefit
the Comfort Care Pro g ram at CMMC.
CMMC Spring Gala
The CMH Development Office and the Wo m a n ’s Hospital Association
combined their efforts to create the festive Mardi Gras Gala held on
M a rch 25, 2000 at the Ko ra Temple in Lewiston. It was an exciting
evening of New Orleans style food, song and dance that everyone
enjoyed. It was a colorful, fun-filled party to remember! The event
raised over $10,000 to benefit the Arbor House. This facility, located
a c ross the street from the hospital, provides a place to stay for families
of patients in need. Mark your calendars now and join us on April 28,
2 0 01 for another wonderful evening of fine dining and entertainment.
We commend the following sponsors for their generous support and to
the committee members for their commitment and hard work:
CMMC Greens Card Keeps Gro w i n g
The CMMC Gre e n s C a rd offers area golfers the opportunity to play thirty-six
rounds of free or discounted golf at twenty-one participating
c o u rs e s. The players purchased a Gre e n s C a rd for only $35. This special
an opportunity to purchase a gift for a friend or loved one, that
keeps on giving! The 2000 Gre e n s C a rd enabled CMH to raise more than
$25,000 to benefit the Cancer Care Immediate Needs Fund. This fund
was created to help our cancer patients with costs that are not covere d
by their insura n c e .
We sincerely thank all of the participating golf courses and corpora t e
s p o n s o rs, listed below, for their exemplary support. The 2001
G re e n s C a rd will be available by late October 2000. Order yours early —
they make great stocking stuffers !
