Chimney Design Criteria (1)• Draft Influencing Factors:– height of chimney– flue gas temperature– boiler output– flue gas resistance in boiler• Chimney diameter must be at least 6” (150 mm)• Vent diameter less than 6” (150 mm) diameter: requires exhaust fan, or chimney heightover 35 ft (10 m).• Combustion chamber draft values:– Full fire ≥ .04 Inch WC. (Required for good combustion & proper burner operation)- Low fire ≥ .02 Inch WC.• Installation of barometric damper is required in ALL cases.Training documentation Slide Nr. 30: 11/2007
