This process also avoids chemicals in the growingprocess as anythingpoisonous used on theplants will kill the fish.The idea of having a fish tank in the home is an oldone but now with Urban Aquaponics it is possible to havea fish tank in the home that holds both edible fish andvegetables. The tanks with these living things in themprovide an interesting feature in any room and becausethey can be situated in any urban environment it means people have access to organic,sustainable living all year round. The tanks can be built into wall units, provided they havespace at the top for the vegetables to grow. They can be free-standing and situated in almostany room within the chosen environment.Tall TenekisTall Tenkeis incorporates the Japanese Tenkei melons andinternal and external living. What they provide in urbanenvironments is a living, edible artwork. As the Tenkei melons canbe trained to grow vertically it is now possible to put them in anypart of your home. The vertical garden is a highly efficient growingsystem. This vertical gardening reduces backaches and sore kneesof stooping and kneeling to cultivate and harvest; because of thisthe growing system could also benefit the elderly and disabled.All that is needed to grow this system in your home is a small bed of soil for the roots togrow in.
