This building manage to have no airconditioningbyusingfans,whichsuckairinfromtheatriumthenblowtheairthroughthehollowspaceunderthefloors.Theairalsogoesthroughtheventsonbaseboard.The warm air will rise and exits though chimneys once the cool air come into therooms. The building also has an unusual form of sunshade to avoid the harshsunlight from heating the interior. The owner ofEastgatecentresavedalmost$3.5millionbecauseanair conditioning plant was unnecessary.
