SCANPUMP SCABA -TOP ENTERING AGITATORS.The agitators are of a robust, modular design and can be combined with varioustypes of drive units, seals and impellers. Due to this flexibility, the agitators canbe adapted optimally to the needs of the process.Drive unitThe drive unit selected is determined by the processrequirements and the customer’s wishes.The agitator can be equipped with gears, parallelshaft gears, bevel gears or V-belt drives.Pedestal modulThe shaft coupling in the pedestal moduleprovides the connection between the driveand the agitator shaft. Sleeve and flange couplingsare standard. Radially split couplings areused for special applications.The pedestal module is equipped with adouble spherical roller bearing with adaptersleeve. For a V-belt drive and certain specialapplications, an extra shaft bearing is built intothe pedestal module.The SCABA shaft bearing can be used as analternative. This enables the bearing to be changedwithout the need for removing the shaft.Housing for shaft sealThis is equipped with a suitable seal. The connectingflange of the housing can be suppliedin different sizes.Shaft couplingThe agitator shaft is equipped with one or moreshaft couplings, if necessary. Shaft seals for top entering agitatorsThe shaft seals are designed to maintain the required pressure in the tank or to prevent leakage through theshaft entry.
