Graduation RateGraduation Rate of Student AthletesGraduation Rate of student athlete is calculated as the percentage of student entering Kentucky State University as first‐time, full‐time freshmenbachelor or equivalent degree seeking in Fall term (Cohort*) including the Summer term prior, who completed their programs within 150 percentof normal time or within six years, who received any athletic‐related financial aid in their first year. For example, Athletic Graduation Rate of Cohort2003 is calculated as the percentage of full‐time freshmen bachelor or equivalent degree seeking students who first‐time enrolled at Kentucky StateUniversity in Fall 2003, including Summer prior, who received any athletically‐related financial aid in their first year and completed their programsby Summer 2009.The cohort was recalculated, adding the first‐time students who enrolled in the Summer as Non Degree, but returned in the Fall as full‐timeFreshmen, in coordinance with how the CPE defines their cohort. If one student received athletic aids in more than one sport, the federal (NCAA)hierarchy was used, so that the student is only reported once. The hierarchy is football, basketball, baseball, cross country/track, then other sports.The student athlete is also re‐defined as first‐time, full‐time freshmen who received any athletically‐related aid in their first year only.
