LibraryPaul G. Blazer LibraryPaul G. Blazer Library’s collections of more than 800,000 items are for the reference, electronic, periodical, media, and circulating collections. <strong>Book</strong>s,ebooks, journals, videos/DVDs, microforms, sound recordings are available for students and faculty in their course work and research. The Librarysubscribes to electronic databases on various subjects to support the curriculum. The <strong>University</strong> community is encouraged to use the Library forpersonal enrichment and leisure reading.The Library has specialized collections for faculty, students, and researchers. Special Collections and Archives, which contain rare and historicaldocuments relating to African‐American culture and history, Kentuckiana, and <strong>University</strong>’s records, are located on the Library’s second floor. TheEducation Curriculum Lab, located on the ground floor, contains a specialized state approved textbook collection and provides education curriculummaterials (grades preschool through 12) for students and faculty in the School of Education. The Library is a selective depository for the United<strong>State</strong>s Government Document Program and houses a variety of federal documents. The Aquaculture Collection, located in the Reading Room of the<strong>University</strong>’s Aquaculture Research Center, supports the research of faculty and students in the Aquaculture Program, the <strong>University</strong>’s Program ofDistinction. Needed materials not available in the Library can be obtained through Interlibrary Loan. PC work‐stations and photocopy facilities areavailable onsite for student use.Librarians and support personnel assist students and faculty in using the Library’s resources and facilities. Special library tours or individualizedinstruction can be scheduled by contacting the Reference Desk.Mission <strong>State</strong>mentPaul G. Blazer Library supports the library and informational needs of the <strong>Kentucky</strong> <strong>State</strong> <strong>University</strong> community.
