See what your home theater’s been missingSPEED1080PVisionProVideo ProcessorThe Lumagen Vision Pro Video Processorprovides a cornerstone for the ultimate hometheater experience. It is designed to adapt to theunique requirements of each home theater, ratherthan having the designed-in limitationscommonly found in today's video processors. The Vision Pro’s deinterlacing circuitry convertsstandard television video to a progressiveformat. Digital processing then enhances theimage and scales the resolution to the optimalsize for the HDTV or projector .Together these yield a substantial improvementfor home theaters, which are frequently marredby the poor deinterlacing and scaling providedby many HDTVs and projectors.Along with image quality, flexibility is adefining feature for the Vision Pro VideoProcessor. It provides comprehensiveprogrammability and calibration features. These include programmable output resolution, refresh rate, aspect ratio, and video format, pluscropping, black-level, contrast, color, hue andchroma-phase adjustments. These features make the Vision Pro a perfectmatch for those who demand both the bestquality and the best value.

Product Overview:The VisionPro Video Processor providesexceptional deinterlacing and scaling. Unlike manyvideo processors which are limited to a single, or afew, output resolutions, it allows output timing to beprecisely tuned to the projector’s, or High-Definition Television’s (HDTV), optimalconfiguration. Most projectors and HDTVs provide a good picturefor high-definition sources, but they often fall shortfor standard definition (SDTV) sources. TheVisionPro Video Processor corrects this shortcomingand makes SDTV sources look great on thesedisplays. The deinterlacer converts interlaced video input toprogressive video using four input fields todetermine the contents of each frame. Forprogressive material, the original frames arereassembled using 3:2, or 2:2, pull-downreconstruction. For video material, interlacedvideoartifacts are detected on a per-pixel basis.Using the result of this artifact detection, the sourcepixels are merged, or blended, into the best possibleprogressive image.Proprietary detail-enhancing algorithms are used toscale the progressive video to the optimalresolution. The video is over-sampled to enhancethe image quality. Video oversampling provides thesame benefit that audio oversampling does for CDs.That is, it produces the most-accurate reproductionof the video signal possible. When processing is completed, the digital video isconverted to analog using three over-sampled 10-bit digital-to-analog converters .Progressive output is supported from 480p to 1080pin scanline increments, at up to 75 Hertz. Interlacedoutput is supported at 1080i. In addition, the outputvertical-refresh-rate and the aspect ratio areprogrammable. Each input has two unique input calibrations and, optionally, two independent output configurations.A pass-through input is provided for high definitionsources. The pass through video is buffered usinghigh-bandwidth video amplifiers. For displays thatrequire a specific sync polarity, discrete syncsignals can optionally be converted to the samepolarity as the internally generated sync outputs.Key Features:Rear PanelInputs:$8 programmable inputs.
