Lexington and Concord 1775 Bunker Hill 1775 Saratoga 1777 Valley Forge 1777 to 1778 Yorktown 1781Lesson Procedure(save assessment detailsfor next section) (10 pts.)Introduction: I will review what they havelearned so far about the revolution. We willdiscuss the general causes(i.e stamp act etc) andwhat was going on before the first battle started.Break up into groups: They already sit with theirdesks in a group so I will have one person fromeach group get a computer and bring it back totheir tables. Each group will start with a differentbattle. There are five tables and five battles.Rotation: After approximately 10 minutes I willcheck to see how they are doing on the worksheet.I anticipate most will be done and they will thenleave the computers and move onto the next table.


There they will repeat the process with the battlefor that table.Wrap up: After they have completed theworksheet we will go over the answers as a formof formative assessment to make sure there werenot any questions on the information. The website will be introduced onceevery group has a laptop. The basic navigation willbe explained and the expectations for the lessonwill be laid out before they begin their ownnavigation of the site.Review of major battles as a class. After they havecompleted the worksheet we will go over theanswers as a form of formative assessment tomake sure there were not any questions on theinformation. They will take the online quiz. I feelthat I will be able to get a general sense of howthey are doing based on the reactions of thestudents while taking the quiz.ASSESSMENTOnline quiz, multiple choice questions of relevantinformation from the handouts.I will use formative assessment. After completingthe worksheet the laptops will be placed aside andwe will go over each battle. The group that endedon a particular battle will go over it as a review forthe class. Any questions raised can be asked andanswered at that time. The summative assessmentwill be with the quiz at the end.Quiz Questions:1.
