Our beloved Warren was takenfrom us after a valiant battle with cancer.He is survived by his loving wifeKelly and his sons Cory and Will. BrotherHudson started work with Local 58 inthe early 1980’s and earned an apprenticeshipin 1987, gaining journeymanstatus in 1990. In his early years withthe Local, Warren was also pursuing avery successful career as a professionalfootball player. During his 9-year careerin the Canadian Football League, Warren played fullbackfor the Toronto Argonauts and the Winnipeg BlueBombers. Known for dishing out punishing blocks andclearing the path for speedy runningbacks, “he wasthe kind of guy who would run over someone, then goover and help him up,” said former Argo teammate DonMoen. He was a consummatestagehand; he toured with theNational Ballet of Canada as an AssistantCarpenter, worked innumerable concertsat the Air Canada Centre as a High SteelRigger and spent 10 years as the PropertyMaster at the Royal Alexandra Theatre.Warren was also known for his infectioussmile, which always seemed to make everyone’sjob just a little easier. In 2007,Brother Hudson was elected to the Local’sExecutive Board and was appointed as thefirst Local 58 Members’ Ombudsman. In November 2010,Warren became the Local’s Business Agent. His messagewas simple – “I will work hard and represent the membersof my Local to the very best of my ability”. This hedid with remarkable dignity and grace, for the rest of hisfar-too-short life. THANK YOURemembering Michael F. Miller, Sr.It is with much sadness to report the lossof Brother Michael F. Miller, Sr., father of InternationalVice President/Division Director ofMotion Picture and Television Production MichaelF. Miller, Jr., and long-time member of theIATSE. Brother Miller passed away on May 7,2012. He was 64 years old.Brother Miller first joined the IATSE in 1979with membership in Cleveland’s StagehandLocal 27 and Studio Mechanics Local 209. In1989, he then became a member of Special DepartmentLocal B27. He served on the Executive Boards of allthree Locals for many years, including the position of Presidentof Local 209.Brother Miller started off as a flyman at the Palace Theatrein Cleveland. He then became Head Electricianand Shop Steward at the State Theatre,and finished up his career at Severance Hallwith the world-renowned Cleveland Orchestra.He is remembered by his brothers and sistersof Local 27 who stated that, “Mike tookgreat pride is his work and never took a shortcut.The many accolades he received was proofof the pride he took in his job. His legacy liveson with the countless younger members hetaught along the way. He will truly be missed.”The family had suggested memorial contributions bemade to the Lakewood Hospital Foundation-STEP, Stroke ExerciseProgram, 14601 Detroit Ave., Lakewood, OH 44017.The Trustees of the Richard F.
