He will be responsible for Ressort “E+P – Exploration and Development”.In 2000, Zwitserloot was appointed Member of the Board of ExecutiveDirectors of Wintershall, responsible for “Exploration & Production”. In October2001 he became Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors ofWintershall. The oil and gas company is headquartered in Kassel and is awholly owned subsidiary of BASF SE. Zwitserloot was born in Groesbeek,Netherlands, in 1949. After completing his studies in Chemical Engineeringat the Technical University in Eindhoven, Zwitserloot held a variety ofmanagerial positions at Exxon in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom andthe United States.Dr. Seele was born in Bremerhaven, Germany, in 1960. After studyingchemistry and receiving a doctorate from the University of Göttingen, hejoined BASF in 1987.
