ConclusionAbove all, think about how you can build on your existing programs and activities, the concernsand interests of refugees, and the skills and experience of individual community members. Youmay find that the different refugee communities you serve already have structures for civicparticipation but don’t define them as such. Take time to learn about and build on these existingstructures for participation. Most of the components for civic participation may already be there,and you may need only to provide guidance. Remember that there is no one right way to increaserefugee civic participation.
