Now in full swing, Thiess iscurrently mining 2.5 million bank cubicmetres (BCM) per month.The plant fleet includes five Liebherr 996excavators, 43 Caterpillar 793 dump trucks,seven Caterpillar 789C dump trucks and arange of ancillary equipment. We currentlyemploy 242 staff, 87 per cent of whom live inSouth Australia.
