Holly also was planted near ahome to frighten off witches and protect it from thunderand lightning.The Kindergarten class (even day), WESMake ahead mashed potatoesServe everyone’s favourite holiday comfort food as isor add bread crumbs and egg and form into crisp, bakedpatties.15 Yukon gold potatoes (about 5 lb.)1 cup sour cream1/2 cup butter, cubed4 green onions, thinly sliced1/4 cup minced fresh parsley1 tsp. salt1/2 tsp. pepperIn large pot of boiling salted water, cover and cookpotatoes until tender, about 20 minutes. Drain and returnto pot briefly to dry completely. Rice or mash untilsmooth. Add sour cream and butter; mix until butter ismelted. Stir in green onions, parsley, salt and pepper.Transfer to 9x<strong>13</strong> glass baking dish or casserole; smoothtop or create design. (Make ahead: cover and refrigeratefor up to 24 hours.)
