Mini PlaymakersChildren create miniature productions and explore theatre by buildingcharacters for spontaneous, collaborative storytelling. Studentsreceive a view of the behind the scenes workings of a theatre. Thisserves as a continuing class with new opportunities introducedeach session. Thisabbreviated version is geared toward the younger elementary student andteaches children the art of working together. By working on scenes and songsfrom popular musicals, students learn stage directions, simple choreography,vocal production, and how to bring a character to life. In each class, warm upand theatre games are included and every child gets an equal size part. Feats involve cards,ropes, coins, mind-reading, and more. While tricks may appear difficult, you willdiscover that they are easy to learn and perform. All materials will be providedby the magic team. Fee includes a t-shirt and cast party.Volunteer hours will extend later into the evening on performance dates.
