The Processing StageDuring the processing stage the recyclable materials are sorted into theirrespective commodities:• Steel and Aluminium (3,500 tonne)• Paper, Cardboard (60,000 tonnes)• Plastic (PET 1000 tonne, HDPE Clear 800 tonne & Mixed Plastic 3,500 tonne)• Glass (MRF 35,000 & Commercial 80,000 tonnes)• Recyclables once sorted are baled in groups. These bales are sent tocustomers who clean and resort, the materials are ready to be processed forremanufacture into new products.• Visy reuses the cardboard, paper and plastics, which are manufactured intonew cardboard boxes, displays and soft drink bottles.
