Version 4.0.3 ReadMeInstallation Notes and IssuesiNEWS v4.0• Changes to the iNEWS Server installation include the addition of domain information to /etc/krb5.conf.This is necessary for sites that require User ID validation through an LDAP server for an External Useraccount.An iNEWS user account can be set as an External User when added to the database via a setting in the AddNew User dialog box.The purpose of the External User account is for the User ID credentials to be validated on an LDAP serverinstead of the iNEWS Server. For this external validation to work, customer domain information must beentered in the /etc/krb5.conf file during the iNEWS Server installation.Below is a sample of the updated iNEWS v4.0 server installation procedure:1.
