Version 4.0.3 <strong>ReadMe</strong>Installation Notes and Issues<strong>iNEWS</strong> v4.0• Changes to the <strong>iNEWS</strong> Server installation include the addition of domain information to /etc/krb5.conf.This is necessary for sites that require User ID validation through an LDAP server for an External Useraccount.An <strong>iNEWS</strong> user account can be set as an External User when added to the database via a setting in the AddNew User dialog box.The purpose of the External User account is for the User ID credentials to be validated on an LDAP serverinstead of the <strong>iNEWS</strong> Server. For this external validation to work, customer domain information must beentered in the /etc/krb5.conf file during the <strong>iNEWS</strong> Server installation.Below is a sample of the updated <strong>iNEWS</strong> v4.0 server installation procedure:1. Set up user authentication.Initializing Kervberos configuration…The default realm is ‘EXAMPLE.COM’. Do you wish to change it?
