Michelle Anderson’s term as Board
Chair. A Riverfield parent before
she became a Board member and
eventual chair, Michelle has led the
Board of Trustees with grace and a
commitment to the school’s recent
expansion. Michelle will remain on
the Board as Past Chair. Please read
the note to the right from Michelle.

David Tracy
Beginning his role
as Board Chair is
long-time Riverfield
parent and Board
member David
Tracy. An attorney
at Naylor, Williams & Tracy, Inc., David and his
wife Linda are active volunteers within the
Riverfield community. They have been part of
the school since their son Ryan, who graduated
last month, was 18 months old. Ryan plans
to major in meteorology at the University of
Oklahoma in the fall. Daughter Emma, who
has attended RCDS since infanthood, will
enter the 8th grade in August.
David has served on the Board since 2002,
so he is comfortable with the ins and outs of
the group. However, he acknowledges that
Michelle Anderson leaves big shoes to fill.
“She gave us a steady hand on the helm during
a time of great growth at Riverfield,” he said.
David looks forward to serving the school in
this capacity and hopes to continue in the fine
tradition of Board Chairs before him.
Dear Riverfield Community,
Thank you for your help in making this school what it is today. Our
students are receiving a top-notch education, and a large part of the
credit is due to the support they receive at home. We are so lucky to have
teachers who are eager to educate and students who are eager to learn.
This atmosphere has made my four-year term as Chair of the Board of
Trustees a wonderful experience. Since I assumed this position in 2006, our
school has witnessed a tremendous growth both in number of students and
in physical attributes. The Upper School building had just opened when
my term began; since then we’ve added the Langerak Academic Center,
a number of temporary buildings, and the Martha S. Clark athletic field.
I have relished the opportunity to lead the Board through these exciting
times and look forward to continuing to assist them as I remain on the
Board for the 2010-11 school year.
As a parent, area citizen, and Board member, I could not be more proud
to be affiliated with Riverfield. I am so pleased by the fact that although
we have grown, we have kept our family atmosphere. I feel Riverfield is
constantly fulfilling its mission, and I truly believe Riverfield is “preparing
students for real-world success.” It has been an honor to serve Riverfield,
and I look forward to watching the school’s future success and our students’
future achievements.

Bron Cummins is
President of Adco
Industries. He and
his wife, Christy,
have two children,
Callie and Cole.
Bron’s connection to
RCDS began when
Cole attended in
Riverfield’s second year. In his spare time,
Bron enjoys time with his family, Grand
Lake, hockey, golf, fishing and hunting.
Sean Kouplen is CEO
of Regent Bank. He
has three children,
Emory, Kennedy, and
Finley. The older
two have attended
Riverfield for three
years. Sean and his
wife Angela are active
in their church and in the community of
Bixby. He is a Past President of the OSU
National Alumni Association. Sean recently
published Out of the Blocks, a book about
career management and success in life.

Shawn Hopkins, as RFA
President, will serve
on the Board for the
2010-11 school year.
Shawn and her husband
Michael have three
children, including their
son Avery, who will be
in the 4th grade in the
fall. They enjoy traveling and working in their
garden. Shawn has volunteered at Riverfield
in numerous capacities and is excited to serve
as a Board Member and RFA President next
year.
Santiago Ruiz is a Revenue
Supervisor at Samson. He
and his wife, Melissa, are
expecting their first child,
who will be in the Bird
class in the fall. Santiago
plays competitive tennis in
local matches, participates
in CrossFit, and is head of
the Latin American Missions Board at his church.
