<strong>SITE</strong> <strong>SPECIFIC</strong> <strong>INDUCTION</strong>IntroductionThe management team at <strong>Waterfront</strong> <strong>Place</strong> is committed to the Health, Safety and Welfare of all its employees,contractors, tenants and visitors.In this induction we will cover topics including:• Emergency Procedures• First Aid• Site Specific Hazards• Site Contacts• Permits• Building Access• Parking, and• Storage of ChemicalsAt the end of the induction course you will be required to complete a short assessment.Upon passing the assessment, you will be prompted to print and sign your induction card.You will be required to present this card upon arriving on site at <strong>Waterfront</strong> <strong>Place</strong> as evidence that you have beeninducted. You will also need to hold this card on you at all times when working on the premises.<strong>Waterfront</strong> <strong>Place</strong><strong>Waterfront</strong> <strong>Place</strong> is located at 1 Eagle Street, Brisbane.The complex comprises of a 36 level commercial tower, retail space and a carpark.There is a Concierge Desk on the Ground Floor.The Building Management Office is located on Level 26.<strong>Waterfront</strong> <strong>Place</strong>’s core business hours are:Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pmSite ContactsFor the duration of your works at <strong>Waterfront</strong> <strong>Place</strong>, your on-site contacts will be:• Rod Martin, Senior Facilities Manager 0401 047 696• Francis Joseph, Facilities Manager 0434 185 714The management office is located on Level 26, and can be contacted on 07 3100 2300.After Hours: Security 07 3100 2333Please note Security is on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is located at the Concierge Desk on the Ground Floor.Signing In and AccessUpon arriving to complete works, you will need to attend the Loading Dock in the basement.Here, you will be required to sign in daily, obtain access keys and any relevant permits you may require.You are also required to sign out upon completion of works.All works need to be pre-arranged with the Facilities Manager noted above at least 24 hours in advance by submitting aContractor Access Request Form.All contractor inductions must be completed during Loading Dock Hours (Daily 6am-6pm Excluding Saturday, Sundayand Public Holidays). <strong>SITE</strong> <strong>SPECIFIC</strong> <strong>INDUCTION</strong> ContinuedPermitsAs outlined in the Health & Safety Guidelines, <strong>Waterfront</strong> <strong>Place</strong> has a number of Permit to Work systems in place. Thisincludes the following:1. Hot Works2. Rooftop Access3. Confined Space4. Asbestos Permit5. Riser Access PermitIt is your responsibility to obtain all necessary permits, prior to commencing any works on site. All permits required arenoted in the Health & Safety Guidelines.Failure to comply with the permit system will result in cancellation of works and removal from site.In addition to the above permits, if you are a tenant or contractor working in Management-controlled areas, you are alsorequired to complete a Contractor Access Request Form, prior to completing any works on site.To access this form, please refer to the website: www.waterfrontplace.com.auDeliveriesAll deliveries and mail to <strong>Waterfront</strong> place are to be made through the Loading Dock located in the basement/carpark,accessible from the corner of Margaret & Felix Streets.Upon entering the carpark, please see the Carpark Attendant, who will direct you where to go.The dock operating hours are 6:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday.The loading dock is to be used strictly for the loading and unloading of materials.Parking in the loading dock is not permitted. Parking is available through the Carpark Attendant at your cost. If more timeis required in the loading dock, this should be arranged through the Management Team and the Carpark Attendant.Wilson Parking manage the loading dock and carpark on behalf of <strong>Waterfront</strong> <strong>Place</strong> and the contact isGeoff Foster, Ph 07 3210 0732.Any parking required after hours should be done through security.Goods LiftsThere are two Goods Lifts located in the carpark which service the tower.The dimensions of the Lifts are:• Lift #18 - 2700h x 1685d x 1745w Door - 1190 x 2400• Lift #19 - 3050h x 2850d x 1490w Door - 1295 x 2400Prior to transporting any items in the goods lift which have potential to cause damage or dust, contractors are required tocover the floor and all sides of the lift car.Upon completion of transporting these items, it is the responsibility of the contractor to ensure that the car is thoroughlycleaned, with particular attention given to the door tracks.Contractors will be responsible for any damage caused due to misuse or negligence on their part.For any large volume or heavy weight deliveries, contractors must obtain approval from Building Management inadvance. The relevant representative should be consulted at least two weeks prior, to make necessary arrangementswhich may include the attendance of the Lift Mechanics. All goods lift bookings are conducted via the Customer ServiceOfficer and can be contacted on 3100 2333.In addition to the above, the lift car may require supplementary protection including timber sheeting to spread loads.The entry to the lift is required to be protected with timber runners, to protect the aluminium sill plate from trolley wheels.Under no circumstances are the Passenger Lifts to be used to transport materials or rubbish without prior writtenapproval from the relevant <strong>Waterfront</strong> <strong>Place</strong> Building Management Representative.www.waterfrontplace.com.au WATERFRONT PLACE 1 Eagle Street, Brisbane QLD 4000
