Date: May 1977 Time: 2300Craig McAllister, 22, had stopped his car on a roadside late at night for a sleep onhis way to Oodnadatta on a clear moonlit night. He had begun to listen to ABC newson the car radio when he spotted a pulsating ionized blue glow coming from trees ina gully across open ground. There were six small figures approaching in a group. Hethought they were children and got out of the car to see what they wanted. Perhapssomeone’s vehicle was broken down over there in the gully and they were seekinghelp, he thought. But as they got closer he saw they had large, longish egg-likeheads, appeared grayish in the moon-glow with big, doe-like eyes and small mouths,but now he was shining his flashlight on them. At this instant one of them movedforward and touched him with a 2ft length metal wand on the stomach, at which hewent limp and collapsed on the ground. He could however see the creatures; theywere all naked, small male genitals, and long thin arms and legs, with long thinfingers. Their toes were much like humans. He was dragged by them across the openground to the gully, where he saw he was being taken towards the door of a“football” shaped craft. He was now semi-conscious as they removed his clothing,placing him on some sort of table while two of the creatures prodded and poked himall over; a large syringe-like instrument of a clear glass-like substance was used todraw blood from his right arm. Then he realized two others were attaching severalwires with small adhesive square blocks to his temples, and then he blacked outcompletely. He woke up naked on the ground, the craft was gone, and he staggeredback to his car, where he had to put on his spare set of clothes from his suitcase.When he looked at the watch it was 1230A. After recovering somewhat he got out ofthere fast. Over a period of time, about several months, he afterwards receivedstrange feelings such as a couple of places in Adelaide which he visited for the firsttime but felt he had been there before. The light originated from a gray metallic ovalshaped object that was hovering near the witness truck close to the ground. It had arotating ring around its middle and two circular openings, one on the top and theother on its bottom. A figure wearing a dark gray coverall and a helmet could beseen inside one of the openings; it seemed to be controlling and directing the yellowbeam of light. He then made some hand gestures towards the witness as if greetinghim. A flattened area was found on the grassy field.64
