COMMUNITYFACILITIES ELEMENTCommunity Facilities involves planning for the number and location of public facilities, includingparks, schools, libraries, fire, Metro police, cultural and other public buildings and facilities,which are required to serve the residents of West Las Vegas. It also examines quasi-publicfacilities such as churches, cultural and/or community centers, to help plan the desired numbersand locations to most efficiently serve the local community.Note: Public Infrastructure - which involves the provision of facilities for water distribution,sewer collection, flood control, and solid waste pick-up systems and facilities - is closelyrelated to community facilities.
