Swimming, dancingand foosball are just some of theactivities offered with the program,Gray said.“They get <strong>to</strong> do a little bit ofexercise,” he said. “It’s really a uniqueexperience for kids.”Gray said other benefits are theYMCA’s staff of experienced teachersand the facility’s unique atmosphere.There are only few places students cango after school where they would havesuch a diverse choice of activities, Graysaid.Kids like the wellness center, theeducation center and the social aspec<strong>to</strong>f the YMCA after-school program,according <strong>to</strong> Gray.During the regular school hours,at theTRCEvery Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.at Tumbleweed Recreation Center.social and educational activities aregenerally separated, Gray noted. Theafter-school program, however, giveskids an opportunity have both at thesame time.“The YMCA is a little different thanbeing in a cafeteria or a classroom,” hesaid. “The kids really have fun.
