GENERAL NOTESData for <strong>Taxation</strong> <strong>statistics</strong> <strong>2010–11</strong> was compiled beforeall processing for the <strong>2010–11</strong> income year and 2011–12fringe benefits tax year was completed. Statistics in somechapters are sourced from 2011 annual income tax returns andassociated schedules (such as the capital gains tax schedule2011) that were processed by 31 October 2012. The <strong>statistics</strong>in these chapters are not necessarily complete and will continueto change as data from 2011 tax returns and schedulesprocessed after 31 October 2012 is included. Caution shouldbe exercised in comparing the detailed table <strong>statistics</strong> for the<strong>2010–11</strong> and prior income years. Better comparisons will bepossible when <strong>Taxation</strong> <strong>statistics</strong> 2011–12 is published. In thatedition, the <strong>2010–11</strong> income year detailed table <strong>statistics</strong> willinclude data from returns processed up to 31 October 2013.Where figures have been rounded, discrepancies may occurbetween the sums of the component items and totals.
