Crosby PTSA Newsletter, Vol. 10 No. 5 Mar 2009
Principal‟s Corner
Kirk Lattimore
Spring is upon us. During this time of the year, I can see how our students have matured physically and mentally since the beginning of the
school year. Although children mature at different rates, most kids make this transition without any major problems. As we close out the last
week of the 5 th grading period and enter the final six weeks of the school year, it is important to remember that students must pass 4 out of 6
classes including math and language arts. Students must also complete a writing folder (portfolio in 7 th ) in order to pass to the next grade level.
If you have any concerns regarding your child’s progress, please contact his or her team leader or counselor. The times in which teachers and
teams are available are listed in the Counselor’s section of this newsletter.
This summer our school will undergo a Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning renovation. The entire school will be “gutted” and no one will be
allowed on school property after June 4 th . The renovation will take all summer and the staff will not be able to work in the building until the
first or second week in August. The administrative staff will be relocated to Eastern High School to close out the 2008-09 school year in June.
The administrative staff will also open the 2009-10 school year in July at Eastern High School.
I want to congratulate our Quick-Recall and Future Problem Solving Governor’s Cup teams for winning the District and Regional titles. I also
want to congratulate the boys’ basketball team for winning the district regular season and tournament titles. Finally, I want to congratulate the
girls’ basketball team winning back-to-back regular season and district tournament titles as well as the Junior LIT Championship.
Congratulations to the following students for receiving the PTA Character Award: Lucas Taylor, Jenna Lee, Aundreya Chandler, and
Blaine Gambs.
From the PTSA President
You will most likely receive this newsletter during the long-awaited Spring Break! We hope you and your family had a restful week away
from classes and the demands of school. After a very long winter, all of us are ready for spring. And, before we can blink too many times, it
will be the time for CATS testing, finals and 8 th grade recognition.
Are you interested in getting more involved at Crosby by serving on the PTSA Board of Officers next year? Lynda Hines, VP-Volunteers for
the PTSA Board, is chairing the Nominating Committee. She and the committee are busy recruiting persons wanting to make a difference for
our students at Crosby. There are seven elected positions and approximately thirteen appointed positions on the Crosby Board. We meet once
a month in the evening in the school library. You may contact Lynda for more details at lynda0503@yahool.com. Elections for next year’s
Board will be held in May.
We will be sponsoring another Max & Erma’s FUNdraising event at the Summit restaurant on Tuesday, April 21 st ! Mark your calendars to
take your family out to eat or order carryout anytime that day to support the Crosby PTSA. Just present the flyer to your waiter when ordering
and 20% of your total bill will be returned to the PTSA! You can find a copy of the flyer on the address page (last page) of this newsletter, on
the PTSA link in yourclasspage.com, or watch for the flyer to come home with your student prior to the event.
Thank you to the many volunteers who have helped these past months with the numerous activities at School. The Circus of the Kids was once
a huge success, and so dependent upon parent volunteer support and assistance. Spring sports are underway and you continue to show incredible
support of Crosby at these events. Thank you. And hang in there for the next eight weeks!
Breaking News for Parents of 8 th Graders:
Our original plans for the 8 th Grade Recognition Program on
June 3 have been impacted by high school graduations. As you
know, dates have been moved due to the wind and ice storms. Our
program will be at Knights Hall at Bellarmine University. We will
begin promptly at 8:00 AM and be done no later than 10:00 AM.
Eighth grade students will need to be at Bellarmine and ready to line
up at 7:30 AM. Information about dress code for this event and
other information regarding end-of-year activities will be coming
soon.
We are all looking forward to Spring Break and the end of the year.
However, we have over 8 weeks of instruction left in this school
year. Our main focus needs to remain on learning. Parents, we hope
that you can help us reinforce the importance of education and focus
during this time.
Please don’t hesitate to call us if you have questions or concerns.
Mrs. Allen, Ms. Randle, and Mrs. Skinner
We Still Need …
Your Assistance with Traffic
I want to thank you for your assistance with the morning and afternoon
pick-up and drop-off procedures. Although we have seen tremendous
improvement in the flow of traffic, we are still receiving
complaints from the residents near the school and the City of Douglass
Hills. We still have some students being picked up and dropped
off on Gatehouse Lane. There are also times when traffic is stopped
along Gatehouse Lane in the mornings and afternoons.
The City of Douglass Hills has asked Metro Police to assist with the
morning and afternoon traffic. Since there is no parking permitted
on Gatehouse Lane, you cannot pick up or drop off your child on
this road. Also, you cannot stop on Gatehouse Lane while waiting to
pick up your child in the afternoon, even if the line extends onto
Gatehouse Lane. We have been informed that violators will be ticketed.
Please review the morning/afternoon pick-up/drop-off procedures:
In the morning, if you turn onto school property from the right,
please stay to the right and drop off in the front of the school
near the office entrance. If you turn onto school property from
the left, please proceed to the teacher parking lot area and drop
off at the entrance near the cafeteria. Cars that switch lanes
once they enter school property create traffic jams.
In the afternoon, 6 th grade car riders who are picked up on
school property are expected to meet their parents at the entrance
next to the front teacher parking lot.
The following suggestions provide options for pick up and drop off
that assist with the flow of traffic and promote safety:
If you live in our resides, ride the school bus. If you must
drive, carpool with neighbors.
Arrive before 7:15 a.m. (Parents can drop off students at 7:00
a.m.).
ESS (Extended School Services)
Students whose zeros cause them to fail language arts, math, social
studies or science for the 5th grading period should come to Saturday
ESS on April 11th from 8:30-10:30. They can complete a packet
of work to demonstrate that they understand the grading period's
concepts and raise a failing grade to passing. Keep in close contact
with your child's teachers to determine whether your child needs to
attend.
There will not be summer school at Crosby this year, so if your child
is in danger of repeating the grade you must ACT NOW!
More information is available from Mrs. Turnbull and under Saturday
ESS on yourclasspage.com/5024858235
Pull all the way up to the drop-off point if there are no cars in
front of you.
Students should be ready to get out of the car immediately.
Pick up your child at the Douglass Hills Community Center or
the Church of Christ.
Remind your child to exit the building immediately after school
and go directly to your car.
Drive cautiously, watch for students crossing the street, and be
courteous to other drivers.
THANK YOU FOR WORKING WITH US!!

As counselors at Crosby, we provide a variety of activities and services for students and their parents. Through individual and
group counseling sessions, we help your child achieve better social and school adjustments. Also, we consult with parents,
JCPS Middle School Student Promotion Policy
The middle school student promotion policy requires students to pass
66 2/3% of classes, (which is equal to 4 out of a possible 6 points) two
of those classes passed MUST be Language Arts and Math. These
requirements must be met in order to be promoted to the next grade.
Kentucky Core Content Test (KCCT) and Commonwealth Accountability
Testing System (CATS)
Jefferson County Public Schools will be administering the Kentucky
Core Content Tests May 11 through May 22. It is very important that
all students participate in this assessment as scheduled. Please avoid
scheduling doctor, orthodontic, or other appointments for students
during the school day for this two week period.
Individual Learning Plans
Students will continue working on their Individual Learning Plans
through JCPS On-line. They will use the same process to log-on at
home as they will learn at school. We encourage students to update
the plan throughout the school year and summer. The Parent Portal for
the Individual Learning Plan may be accessed at the same site as the
Infinite Campus Parent Portal. However, logging onto the Parent
Portal for the Individual Learning Plan requires a different username
and password for each student. Please contact Crosby Middle school
for the parent username and password for each child enrolled.
Infinite Campus/Parent Portal
A letter updating household information and securing your email address
was sent home the week of December 1, 2008. Please make sure
that this form is updated and returned to insure access to your child’s
information on Infinite Campus. Upon return of the household confirmation,
you will be emailed an access code for the Parent Portal of
Infinite Campus. This will enable you to view your child’s grades
and progress in many classes. Parent Portal began January 12, 2009.
Counselors Tips of the Month
How many students have unlimited text messaging plans? While these
plans are convenient and cost effective because teens seem to be using
cell phones to text more than talk, students may become braver and
more daring in their communication with peers when using this system
of communication. It can become another method to bully and intimidate
peers as some teens may text things that they typically would not
say to someone else. Parents of children that have text messaging
capabilities on their cell phones should have a system to monitor incoming
and outgoing text messages.
Parents, we are continuing to include the information about Alco-Pops
to raise awareness.
ALCO-POPS TARGET TEENS:
The Energy Drink Market is youth driven. In 2007, 500 new
energy drinks were introduced, 20 of the brands that
launched these drinks were alcoholic.
Alco-pops are trainer drinks for youth who may not actually like
the taste of alcohol, but like the sweet flavor of these Malt
Beverages.
Packaging makes it difficult to tell non-alcoholic drinks from
beverages containing alcohol.
Alco-pops are often only marketing online, whose primary audience
are the internet savvy youth.
Retailers don’t always position these products in the “beer cave”
where only 21+ are permitted.
Alco-pops are an even greater health risk to teens. The stimulant
effects of energy drinks mask the depressant effects of the
alcohol, and creates a sense that the person is not impaired.
Energy Drinks and Alcoholic beverages both contribute to dehydration,
hindering a person’s ability to metabolize alcohol.
How to tell the difference between Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic:
Read the can: “Warning this drink contains alcohol.”
Look for the Surgeon General‟s Warning and the ALC/VOL.
Non-alcoholic drinks will always display the nutrition facts.
Adventurer Team
The Invention Convention is coming soon! Adventurers
have identified problems and needs, developed innovative
solutions, researched their invention ideas and built
working models. Please visit us in the gym on March
26th between 9:45 and 2:00 when we will be exhibiting our work.
We're proud to announce that the Adventurer Students of the Month
for March are Thomas Rosbottom, Mary Jenkins, Hayley Washington,
Jaylin Lee and Lilly Edwards. They are trustworthy, attentive,
helpful to others and take responsibility for their actions. Way to go!
While the wind and ice storms changed the last day of school, our trip
schedule remains the same. The New York trip will leave after school
on May 29 and return before school starts on the morning of June 2.
These students will be excused from one day of school, but return for
final exams. The Kings Island trip will be on Friday, May 15 from
8AM to 8PM. We will have just finished the CATS tests, so if a student
has any incomplete parts he/she will have to stay at school and
finish the test. Students can go for $35 and parent chaperones for $45.
Reservations will be taken until Spring Break and will be confirmed in
full-bus amounts.
Explorer Team
In social studies we have been learning about the Middle
Ages. Your child should be able to tell you about feudalism,
manors, knights and more. I have used a variety
of materials to cover the content to better prepare them for the
test. However, nothing can replace studying. Our next unit of study
will be the Renaissance.
On April 30th we are going to Financial Park for a field trip. Students
will start a workbook provided by Junior Achievement to prepare them
for the real-world activities that they will be doing at the site. They
will learn how to write checks, keep a check register, and about making
budgets. I will need one chaperone for every ten students to meet
Junior Achievement's guidelines. I will send home a letter with more
information in a few weeks. Junior Achievement pays for our busses
and we will take our lunch so there is no cost for this field trip.
Science students have a super homework packet that includes three
assignments due Mar. 27, Apr. 10 and Apr. 17. Make sure you ask
your child about it.
In Language Arts, we are working on our reflective pieces to finish up
our portfolios.
Have a safe Spring break!
Mariner Team
These are just a few questions that your child should have
answered for you at the student led conferences in February.
If you didn't get to talk to your child during or after
the conferences please ask them these questions
now. They should be able to answer for you, these have been true
since August!
Where do each of the teachers put their agendas?
What is the name of Mrs. Gleeson's fish?
Who loves gourds?
Who is a member of the winning team of teachers (the bandana thing)?
How many pairs of shoes do you think Mrs. Gleeson owns?
What two pieces of writing did you choose for your portfolio?
Is your language arts binder organized? Do you have enough paper?
Is your grammar workbook pink or red?
What has been the hardest grammar unit for you this year?
What teacher has homework due at the end of a week instead of every
night?
Where is the math makeup work located?
Where do you find papers in math with no name on them?
Where is Mrs. Beagle's work listed for the six weeks?
Which teacher is obsessed (not like that is a bad thing) with coffee?
Who is a die-hard Louisville Cardinal fan?
In which class should you always start the warm-up as soon as you
enter?
In which class should you always show your work?
In which class do you always have to head your paper a certain way?
In which class should you always complete class work as homework if
you don't finish?
What is the purpose of Mrs. Gleeson's sea salt?
We hope that you enjoyed the student led conferences. Please let us
know how these conferences helped you.
The Mariner Team Teachers.
Pathfinder Team
Pathfinder Language Arts: Pathfinder students got some
very important mail this week...from President Barack
Obama. He was thanking the students for their letters
welcoming him and his family to the White House. The president
asked for their help "to renew our Nation's promise to carry forth the
great gift of freedom to future generations". Now that's writing for a
purpose!
Pathfinders Social Studies: Over the next six-weeks, Pathfinders will
work on the Junior Achievement Finance Park program that lets participants
experience what it takes to create and manage a personal
budget. Students are introduced to the banking, clothing, education,
entertainment, food, healthcare, home improvement, housing, investing
and transportation industries. Most important of all, the hands-on
nature of JA Finance Park helps students develop a realistic understanding
of the economic issues they will face later in life.
Pathfinder Science: We are well into our Force and Motion
unit. Homework policy for the remainder of the year has
changed. Students received all of the homework assignment options
for the 5th grading period on 3/9/09. They are to select 1 assignment
from each category. Each category has an assigned due date. The
same will be repeated for the 6th grading period. If you have not already
signed off on the packet, please ask your child. I have attached
all related documents to my page at Yourclasspage.com/5024858235.
Ask your child about Student Responders. We are using these in science
for Formative (just to "see" where students are) and Summative
(graded) Assessments. They are very cool devices that allow teacher
and student to get immediate feedback.
Trailblazer Team
The Trailblazer team has had a busy few weeks. We have
finally finished portfolio pieces in subject areas and we are
working on increasing critical thinking and rigor in all
areas.
Social Studies classes are studying Europe and all its countries, climates,
products, geography, industries and culture. We have spent a
lot of time on Europe and still have another chapter to cover before we
move on to Russia. The students have learned a lot during this unit
and have a test coming up to cover all of Europe. We are also working
on using capital letters correctly and accurate spelling.
Science classes will finish up our Fossils unit and be moving on to
Astronomy. The kids are always excited about this unit and I am
really looking forward to it.
Math classes will be studying topics such as Probability, Data Analysis,
and Geometry concepts such as transformations, volume, and surface
area. Students will also study pre-algebra concepts. Mr. Chris
Peters, a student teacher from Murray State University, will be working
with all Math classes until May 1.
In Language Arts classes students made coat hanger carousels to
illustrate their young adult novels. They have also completed personal
narratives for their portfolios and are learning to write short stories.
We have no field trips planned prior to Spring Break and we will be
gearing up for testing after Spring Break. A reminder to students to
dress in layers as the building is very hot this time of year and we need
to be able to take off those sweatshirts.
We are looking forward to our end-of-the-year trip to Kings Island on
Friday, May 15 th . Students will be able to enjoy the many attractions
of Kings Island while participating in Math & Science Day activities.
child with a flu-like illness or chicken pox because of Reye’s Syndrome. It will also be necessary to have this affidavit signed by a notary
public. All schools have a notary available free of charge. Please help us by observing these guidelines:
1. The medicine should be delivered by the parent/guardian to the school with complete instructions and in the original container with the
prescription label attached. You are also required to pick up any remaining medication at the end of treatment.
2. We request that medication not be sent to school with students. If you must, please put the medication bottle in a sealed envelope.
3. Please send a minimum supply only and notify us regarding medicine needing refrigeration.
4. We must be notified in writing of reaction symptoms, which may occur before or after any medication is taken.
5. Except in extreme emergencies, AM medication is to be taken at home. Midday administration will be at approximately 10:30 a.m. For
other special needs, please see one of the counselors.
6. Unless you notify us otherwise, medication may be administered within 45 minutes before or after the time you indicate. If students
arrive late or leave early they may miss a dose.
7. NEVER advise your child to keep medication in a locker, purse or book bag for the day. Medication, including non-prescription drugs,
must be stored in the office for the safety of all students.
If you have any questions, please call 485-8235. Thank you for your efforts to help us maintain the safe administration of medication. Your
cooperation makes a big difference!

Academic Teams
Congratulations to the Crosby Academic Teams on another
successful season.
The Quick Recall Team and Future Problem Solving
Teams both finished in FIRST PLACE in Regional competition in
February, advancing to compete at the State Governors Cup Championships.
The following students advanced to compete individually at
the State level in written assessments: Nolan Anderson—Science and
Social Studies, Michael Metz—Arts & Humanities, Lejla Mujadzic—Language
Arts and Arts & Humanities, Amos Zoeller—
Mathematics.
At the State Finals, the Quick Recall Team advanced to the Sweet
Sixteen before falling to perennial power and ultimate overall Governors
Cup champion Johnson County. The Future Problem Solving
Team also finished in the top 16, just missing the final round of
evaluation. In written assessments, the following students won awards
for finishing in the top 10 in the state: Nolan Anderson—4th place
Social Studies and Michael Metz—10th place Arts & Humanities.
Overall, Crosby Middle School finished 19th in state of Kentucky.
While the conclusion of Governors Cup marks the end of the statewide
competitive season, the Quick Recall team is still practicing to compete
in the KY Derby Festival Challenge next month.
Dance Team
Congratulations to the Dance Team for their hard work at
the UDA National Competition in Florida. They did a great
job representing our school and our state with pride and
character.
The Dance Team also finished 1st in the POM division and 3rd in the
Hip Hop division at Jamfest's "Game Day" competition. Great job on
a successful season!
Chess Team
Congratulations to the Chess Team for finishing in SECOND
PLACE in the State Team Championships on Feb 28. Team
players were Evan Shacklette (team captain), Chad Leonard,
Patrick O'Brien, and Cody Mattingly. Congratulations also are due
to our alternate Eric Hahnert who came in third place overall in the
individual competition Alternates Bracket.
Orchestra Notes
It is hard to believe that the end of the school year is almost
here! I’d like to catch you up on what has been
going on and also inform you of what will be taking place
later.
First of all, a big CONGRATULATIONS to the students who participated
in the KMEA Solo and Ensemble Festival in February. We
earned 22 distinguished ratings, 2 proficient ratings, and one apprentice
rating. I am very proud of all my students for doing so well.
Another big CONGRATULATION goes to the seventh and eighth
grade orchestras for earning a distinguished rating at the KMEA Or-
chestra Festival held at the University of Louisville School of Music
on Wednesday, March 11. The students performed beautifully and
represented Crosby very well.
April and May will be quite busy for us as we prepare for our spring
concert. It is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28 at 7:00. Students are to
be here at 6:30 in order to tune and are to wear their formal black and
white. This is a required concert and is a MAJOR part of their grade.
Please make note of the date.
Due to the timing of CATS testing and the rescheduling of team field
trips caused by the ice storm, we will not be taking a field trip to the
elementary schools this spring. It is important for all students to be in
classes before the CATS testing dates in order to be properly prepared.
There will be several grade level field trips during the weeks following
CATS testing. We will also need ample time at the end of the school
year to properly prepare instruments for storage as we prepare for the
heating and air conditioning renovation.
If you have any questions, you are welcome to call me at 485-8235 or
e-mail me at marsha.webb@jefferson.kyschools.us. Thank you for
your continued support! I look forward to seeing everyone at our
spring concert.
Cougar Pride 7
Band Notes
We welcome our new student teacher, Mr. Doyle. He is
from Morehead University and plays French Horn.
I was so proud of all the hard work and success our students
had at Solo and Ensemble Festival on Feb. 21. I gave out medals
to the distinguished ratings on March 3, 2009. Two of our students
Joey Beeber and Emma Lambert will be performing with the All
County Percussion Ensemble April 25, 2009, congratulations to these
students.
The Sixth Grade Band is making great strides in their progress, I am
so proud of their work. The Seventh and Eighth Grade Bands are
working very hard for our Large Ensemble Festival. The festival will
be held at Atherton H.S., parents are welcome to attend, I will need
help with chaperones and transporting instruments. The Seventh Grade
perform on Wed., March 25 at 10:20, the eighth grade will perform on
Thurs., March 26 at 12:00 we will perform our two pieces we have
prepared, then sight read (play a piece we have never seen) for a rating,
our goal is for a distinguished rating. Dress for the day is band top
and khaki bottoms, cost is only for the buffet at Gattiland.
On Friday, March 27, EHS Band will be here to do a joint rehearsal
with the eighth grade band, this is always so much fun.
I hope everyone has a great Spring Break!
Our Spring Concert will be April 23, 2009, students will need to be
here by 6:30 to warm up and tune, concert begins at 7:00 pm in the
gym. This is a required concert, counting 40% of the six weeks grade.
Band top and khaki bottoms is the dress.
May 11-22 is the CATS testing window, get plenty of rest, eat breakfast,
and try your best on the test. May 21 is Art's Night, some of our
ensembles have been asked to perform that night. May 28 is our field
Field Hockey
The 2009 Field Hockey Season is rapidly approaching
and will begin in mid July. There will be a parent meeting
in either May or June. The date and time will be
announced later. In order to have a successful season, we will need
many parent volunteers to help with various duties. Due to the recent
rules change, we are currently searching for several coaches. You
must be at least 21 years old. If you are interested in coaching or if
you are interested in playing, please contact Mark Rucinski at:
mark_rucinski@coface-usa.com or by cell at 338-1700.
Lady Cougar Basketball
CONGRATULATIONS to the Lady Cougar Varsity
Basketball Team for an incredible season. This year’s
team won the District Four Regular Season and District
Tournament for the second straight year. They also won the 3 rd Annual
Class Act JR. LIT Jefferson County Championship for the second
consecutive season in undefeated fashion finishing up the year
with 15 wins and 0 losses. They have now WON 28 CONSECU-
TIVE GAMES against Jefferson County opponents.
The Lady Cougar Varsity Team finished second in the 2008 Kentucky
Middle School State Basketball Championship game back in
November losing in overtime to Lebanon Middle School. This was
their first time participating in the state tournament. The loss at this
game left the Lady Cougars with a combined record of 20 wins and
1 loss.
The team was led by a strong eighth grade class and tri-captains;
China Dow, Katie Long and Max Zimmer. This eighth grade
class leaves with a three year record of 43 wins and only 5 losses for
a 90 % career winning percentage. Their accomplishments include
winning the Sixth Grade City Championship, back to back Regular
Season and Tournament District Four Championships and also back
to back LIT Championships. They will be greatly missed and very
hard to replace.
The team looks forward to continuing the great Lady Cougar tradition
with many top returning players such as; Erika Hawkins,
Carolyn Howell, Sophia Dye, Sydney Fone, Jade Spaulding,
Daja Malone, Brandy Ray, Lizzie Valley, Jamila Bland, etc.
These players along with the returning and incoming sixth grade
students should keep us competitive for years to come.
The Lady Cougar Program wants to thank the Crosby staff and fans
who were awesome in their support throughout the season.
Thank You BSA Troop 321!
On Saturday, February 21, members of Boy Scout
Troop 321 including Crosby 6 th graders Nicholas
Cloud and Patrick O‟Brien cleaned up all the
broken tree limbs scattered across the school property.
They cut up the branches and stacked them
next to the storage garage. Troop 321 is sponsored by Middletown
United Methodist Church and they meet on Tuesday
evenings at 7:00pm.
COUGAR PRIDE is Going GREEN
(UPDATE)
Starting next school year, in an effort to reduce waste
and printing/mailing costs, the 6 issue PTSA/school
newsletter will no longer be mailed to each family. You
may access the Cougar Pride in one of two ways.
1. We have ALREADY set up a separate PTSA Newsletter link
on the Crosby “YourClasspage” that you use to keep up with
your student’s classes and teams. Visit it right NOW and press
the “Be Notified” button at the top to be notified by email every
time a new newsletter is posted. You may then view or
download it at your convenience.
http://www.yourclasspage.com/5024858235/cptanews.html
2. There will be print copies in the school office so that you or
your student can pick one up if you prefer to.
Note: The newsletter will continue to be delivered through regular
(postal) mail through the end of this school year.
Need Uniform Pants and Skirts
Hemmed?
On the bulletin board outside the main office, you'll find
information titled HEMS UP. An experienced seamstress
has offered to hem Crosby students' uniform
pants and skirts for only $7. Just mark the requested
length with a pin! Pick up a flier or call Isabel Blake at 425-2973 for
more information. Clothing will be delivered to Mrs. Blake via Ms.
Turnbull in room 209.
Submitting Articles for
COUGAR PRIDE
Cougar Pride is published 6 times per school year—
at the beginning of the year, and then after each of
the first five grading periods. It is published by the
PTSA in cooperation with the school.
If you are a parent in charge of or representative of
a school group and would like to get email notification
of the “Call for Articles” for each edition of Cougar Pride,
please send your name, group, and email address to me at
skip@insightbb.com, or call at 245-6761. I will add you to our list
so that you will get reminders about each upcoming issue of the
newsletter.
Our schedule has changed due to the changed in grading periods
necessitated by the ice storm. The Call For Articles next issue is
scheduled for April 27, and the newsletter will be mailed on May 11.
