For example, atween track is a modifier track. See also tween track.movie A structure of time-based data that ismanaged by QuickTime. A movie may contain sound,video, animation, or a combination of any of thesetypes of data. A QuickTime movie contains one ormore tracks; each track represents a single datastream in the movie. See also time-based data, track.movie boundary region A region that describesthe area occupied by a movie in the moviecoordinate system, before the movie has beenclipped by the movie clipping region. A movie’sboundary region is built up from the track movieboundary regions for each of the movie’s tracks. Seealso movie clipping region, track movie boundaryregion.movie clipping region The clipping region of amovie in the movie’s coordinate system. QuickTimeapplies the movie’s clipping region to the movieboundary region to obtain a clipped movie boundaryregion. Only that portion of the movie that lies inthe clipped movie boundary region is thentransformed into an image in the display coordinatesystem. See also movie boundary region.movie display boundary region A region thatdescribes the display area occupied by a movie inthe display coordinate system, before the movie hasbeen clipped by the movie display clipping region.See also movie display clipping region.movie display clipping region The clipping regionof a movie in the display coordinate system. Onlythat portion of the movie that lies in the clippingregion is visible to the user. QuickTime applies themovie’s display clipping region to the movie displayboundary region to obtain the visible image. You specify a poster as a pointin time in the movie and specify the tracks that areto be used to constitute the poster image.movie preview A short dynamic representation ofa QuickTime movie. Movie previews typically last nomore than 3 to 5 seconds, and they should give theuser some idea of what the movie contains.
