To date, about 130,000young people in Singapore have been motivated to undertake avariety <strong>of</strong> voluntary and challenging activities.Beyond the joy <strong>of</strong> receiving the NYAA Gold Award, Sherlyn feltthat she had become a more confident person through herparticipation in the various activities. It also made her realise themeaning <strong>of</strong> kindness and true happiness: “…it is not alwaysthrough big things that bring peace and happiness, but by thesmall acts <strong>of</strong> kindness we do for those around us.
