The studyrevealed the historical and national value <strong>of</strong> themosque, which provided Singaporeans with a windowto the past - the past rural life, its vital links to Britishcolonial history and the history <strong>of</strong> the Sembawang area.This book, which comes with a video, encouragesSingaporeans to appreciate and preserve ourhistorical and endangered legacies, regardless <strong>of</strong>religion or ethnicity.Pr<strong>of</strong>essor Harry Aveling <strong>of</strong> La Trobe University speakingat the seminar.
