Kent hasdedicated himself to improvingthe quality of life for children in<strong>San</strong> Bernardino County. Since1974, he has worked with thecounty in its Mental Health andChild Protective Services departments.In 1988, Kent was namedto head the Children's Network,which organizes the countywideeffort for services for kids deemedat risk. Under his leadership, theChildren's Network today is recognizedas a model throughout<strong>California</strong> for improving communicationand coordination among themany agencies that serve at-riskchildren and their families. ▲Eldon also serves as an adjunct professor in <strong>CSUSB</strong>'s healthsciences department and has been instrumental in securinginternships for <strong>CSUSB</strong> students in his district.
