FIRSTENERYSOLUTIONS THROUGH THE POWER4SCHOOLS ELECTRIC PROGRAMWHEREAS, the Boards of Education of certain school districts located in northeastern Ohioestablished the Ohio Schools Council as a regional council of governments,pursuant to Revised Code Chapter 167 (the "Council"), for the purposes ofcarrying out cooperative purchase programs and promoting cooperativearrangements and agreements among its member school districts and governmentagencies or private persons; andWHEREAS, the members of, and other participating public entities associated with, theCouncil desire to purchase retail electric power services from the supplier of suchservices that has received the endorsement of the Council, Duke EnergyRetailFirstEnergy Solutions Sales, LLC (the "Endorsed Supplier") for theCouncil’s Energy for Education IIIPower4Schools Electric Program; andWHEREAS, the Portage County Board of Developmental Disabilties (hereinafter referred to asthe "Board"), as a member of the Ohio Schools Council, pursuant to thisresolution desires to authorize the execution and delivery by the Superintendent ofthe Board of a retail Customer Supply agreement between the Board and DukeEnergy Retail Sales, LLCFirst Energy Solutions (the Customer SupplyAgreement"), pursuant to which the Board will purchase electricity generation at adiscount for its facilities now beginning with the July 2011 meter read cycle or theearliest possible meter read cycle following enrollment until December 2019 :therefore be it
