<strong>The</strong> <strong>Employees</strong> <strong>Retraining</strong> <strong>Board</strong> (<strong>ERB</strong>) <strong>is</strong> a <strong>statutory</strong> <strong>body</strong> <strong>which</strong> provides quality trainingprogrammes and services to those aged 15 or above with education level at sub-degree orbelow. Our v<strong>is</strong>ion <strong>is</strong> to help building up a flexible, high quality and resilient work-forcefor the knowledge-based economy of Hong Kong. To achieve th<strong>is</strong> goal, we invite highcaliber candidates to join us for the following positions.Senior Manager (Project Management) (Ref : SM(PM)–08/08)Major ResponsibilitiesTo ass<strong>is</strong>t the Directorate of the Executive Office –(a) To formulate strategy for expanding the employment services for graduate traineesupon completion of training and for strengthening the qualifications and continuinglearning system of the placement officers;(b) To oversee the development of <strong>ERB</strong>’s resource centres in offering comprehensivetraining and employment support services to service targets with such needs;(c) To develop and admin<strong>is</strong>ter the Work Experience Scheme for enhancing the skills leveland employability of graduate trainees;(d) To review, reengineer and rebrand various service schemes funded by the <strong>Board</strong>, inparticular the Integrated Scheme for Local Domestic Helpers and the HealthcareMassage Integrated Scheme;(e) To develop and implement new initiatives related to the service schemes through highlevel researches and analyses;(f)To lead the Employment Services Section and the Service Schemes Section of the<strong>ERB</strong>’s Executive Office, including formulation of performance targets, resourcemanagement and team building; and(g) To prepare papers and reports on the above matters for deliberation by the <strong>Board</strong> andits Committees.


Entry Requirements(a) A recognized University degree in Marketing, Business Admin<strong>is</strong>tration or relatedd<strong>is</strong>ciplines. Good knowledge of vocational training and continuing education,employment services, service scheme, product development or project managementwill definitely be an advantage;(b) At least 15 years’ post-degree working experience, with a minimum of 5 years oflarge scale project and product development and management experience at seniormanagerial level;(c) Profound experience in setting up new system and work flow and in resourcesallocation. Experience in service centre management in relation to employmentservices will be an added advantage;(d) Detailed oriented, proactive, dynamic and innovative;(e) Excellent leadership and communication skills, with high sensitivity to partnershipmanagement; andRemuneration and Terms<strong>The</strong> <strong>ERB</strong> <strong>is</strong> an equal opportunity employer. <strong>The</strong> successful candidates will be appointedinitially on a one-year contract with prospect to transfer to longer-term contract orcontinuous employment thereafter.
