YAP, MANILA BULLETIN PUBLISHINGCORP., THE LIWAYWAY PUBLISHING INC. AND THE PHILIPPINEPRESIDENT LINES (PPL) FOR THEIR GENEROUS DONATION TOTHE CITY OF MAKATI INTENDED FOR ITS RESIDENTS WHOWERE VICTIMS OF THE TYPHOON “ROSING”.

WHEREAS, in a letter to Honorable City Mayor, Jejomar C. Binay, fromMr. Ben f. Rodriguez, Editor-in-Chief of Manila Bulletin Publishing Corp.,the Liwayway Publishing Inc. and the Philippine President Lines (PPL) andtheir Chairman, Don Emilio T. Yap have donated a generous sum ofmoney to the City of Makati which intended for the residents of Makati whowere victims of the typhoon “Rosing”;WHEREAS, such unsolicited and magnanimous gesture of kindness from theabove donors has to be reciprocated with profound gratitude;WHEREAS, the Officials of the City of Makati and residents thereof headed bythe Honorable City Mayor including the Vice Mayor and the City Councilors ofMakati have decided to show their appreciation by way of passing a Resolutionof gratitude.NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SANGGUNIANGPANLUNGSOD OF MAKATI, METRO MANILA, BY VIRTUE OF THE POWERSVESTED IN IT BY LAW, IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:Section 1. The City Officials of Makati headed by Mayor Jejomar C. Binayhereby express and convey their profound gratitude to Don Emilio T. Yap, ManilaBulletin Publishing Corp., Liwayway Publishing, Inc. and the Philippine PresidentLines (PPL) for their generous donation to the City of Makati intended for Makatiresidents who were victims of the typhoon “Rosing”.Section 2.This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its approval.APPROVED on first, second and final reading.
